You can do the following when making a KLM booking online:

Seat Choices for European Flights:

• Europe Business Class Seats: More space for the legs and reclining, only aisle or window seats 7.5 cm/3 inches, more legroom than standard Economy, seated power (select aircraft), Reclinable to 12.5 cm/5 inches. Vacant middle seats (in 3-seat rows).
• Extra Legroom Seats: On average, regular Economy seats have 15.3 cm/5.9 inches more legroom. Reclinable up to 9 cm/3.5 inches near the emergency exit.
• Economy Comfort Seat: More legroom than standard Economy seats by 5 cm and 2 inches. More recline than standard Economy seats by 4-5cm/1.5-2 inches seated power (most aircraft); in front of the section for the economy class, option for reserving seats in advance.

KLM Seat Selection Policy

• You can choose or modify a regular seat during online or mobile check-in.
• You can reserve a regular or special seat by paying a fee.
• There is a charge to reserve the following seats:
  • Economy Comfort seats
  • Seats in a row of 2
  • Seats with extra legroom
  • Front section seats

If you possess an utterly flexible ticket:

• Flight changes and cancellations are free of charge.
• Anytime, you are welcome to choose a regular seat.

You must reserve your service by contacting KLM Cares 48 hours in advance if you need special assistance before, during, or after your flight.
