Reporting a scam
If you paid someone who pretended to be an airline, contact your bank or card issuer first, then report it:
- United States: ReportFraud.ftc.gov, and IdentityTheft.gov if personal details were taken.
- England, Wales and Northern Ireland: Report Fraud.
- Scotland: Police Scotland.
- Canada: Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
- Australia: Scamwatch.
- Elsewhere: your local police and national consumer protection authority.
Our guide covers what to do if you paid a scammer step by step.
